About CrewLink

Why CrewLink exists and how it works.

CrewLink is being developed as a simple idea: give people who work shifts supporting others a clearer way to manage their work life, training and membership – without losing control of their own story.

What CrewLink is for

CrewLink is for people whose work often crosses boundaries – housing, care, events, production, community work and more – and for organisations that rely on this kind of crew.

For crew

A way to keep track of shifts, training and experience in one place, and to feel less alone when dealing with work issues.

For employers

A clearer picture of who is on shift and what they bring, so decisions about staffing, training and support are better informed.

For the wider system

A chance to see patterns in how shift-based work is organised, and where things could be fairer and more sustainable.

How CrewLink is being developed

CrewLink is at an early stage. The public site, union outline and platform concept are the first building blocks, not the final system.

Phase-by-phase

Instead of launching everything at once, CrewLink will move in phases – starting with profiles and basic tools, then growing based on feedback.

In conversation with users

Pilots and early conversations with crew and employers will guide what gets built, what is dropped and what needs to be explained better.

Honest about limits

The aim is to be clear about what CrewLink currently offers, what it does not offer yet, and where other support or advice is needed.

Responsibility, terms and privacy

This page does not replace full legal documents. It is a plain-language summary of how CrewLink thinks about responsibility and data.

Information, not legal advice

CrewLink content is for general information only. It is not legal, financial or professional advice. People should always seek independent advice for specific cases.

Draft terms and policies

Before anyone logs in to the live platform, CrewLink will publish full terms of use and privacy information. Those documents will be the ones that count legally.

Respect for data

Any personal data collected through forms will be handled carefully and only used for the purposes described on those forms. CrewLink will not sell personal data.

Future legal and organisational details

As CrewLink moves from concept to live platform and union, more formal details will be published here.

Legal structure

Information about the legal entity (or entities) behind CrewLink – such as company or organisation details – will be added once finalised.

Union and representation

If CrewLink Union takes on more formal powers or partnerships, the governance and accountability arrangements will be explained clearly.

Contact and transparency

Up-to-date contact details, key documents and any required regulatory information will be kept easy to find from this page.
